Reflections & Duality
This installation was designed and installed for the DIFFA Angels and Demons Gala at the Cathedral of St. John the Devine on March 19, 2026.
This installation acts as a reflection of one's perceptions of angels and demons, and their inseparable duality. Here, the fragility of moral oppositions are exposed; untouched they appear distinct but when confronted they bleed into each other.
Visitors were invited to “tear. confess. shred. release” within the installation. The table cloth was ripped and a confession was written on it, before inserting and shredding it in the glowing acrylic table. The initially clear divide therefore became blurred over time.
Margot Kleinman led the team of Pratt Institute graduate students including Jerome Christian Fernando, Jasmine Tannoury, Kayla Jarvis and Danielle Gordon, to design and install this installation.
