the co-lab!
Are you a young creator that’s full of ideas?
We’re inviting young people ages 7-18 to help shape our new online co-design community - a safe, ad-free space where ideas turn into real world design projects. If you know a young maker who loves to imagine, design, and collaborate, send us an email or join our mailing list to sign up as a beta tester!

Co-Designing the Classroom
This co-design research and design project involved working with a group of middle schoolers to study students' feelings of belonging in their physical school space in hopes of increasing engagement and attendance in New York City public schools. Sponsored by two Faculty Research Fellowships through the Center K-12 at Pratt Institute, The Architectural League of New York and the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA).
Public Toilet Access + Design Research
Public Toilet access and availability is an essential human right. This research began with as an elective course at Pratt Institute in Summer 2024, with a blog series sharing findings of public toilet case studies abroad. We are working on continuing the research and engagement to develop design guidelines and suggestions for public toilet design - free to use, open 24/7, and designed for all users.
